En 1961, Lines Bros Group, la empresa británica creadora de uno de los juguetes más populares del mundo, firmaba un acuerdo con Exin para la distribución de sus pistas, coches y accesorios en nuestro país.Después de una etapa de consolidación, en la que los productos Scalextric eran made in UK, en 1965 llegó el primer modelo fabricado en España, el Cooper, aún de diseño y conceptualización británicos. Pero Exin ya estaba preparada para lanzar coches propios: solamente un año después, en 1966, se lanzaba el primer modelo íntegro del fabricante catalán.¿Y cuál podría ser el modelo elegido para iniciar la nueva era de coches diseñados y producidos en nuestro país? No podía ser otro que el Seat 600, el coche más popular de España en su época, uno de los iconos automovilísticos por antonomasia y símbolo de la motorización de un estado que se asomaba tímidamente a la modernidad.El 600 fue es el primer modelo que Exin fabricó de principio a fin: desde la realización del modelo en madera por parte de los modelistas, siguiendo con el desarrollo y fabricación de los moldes y culminando en la inyección y posterior Seat 600, comercializado en su versión TC (Turismo Competición), se vendió en un principio incluido en el circuito TC600, que era igualmente el primer trazado de fabricación española. Se podía adquirir a un precio de 1.770 pesetas de la época.Además de esta novedad y de los dos 600, presentaba un trazado en forma de gafas de buceador. Utilizado anteriormente en la caja Gran Premio 84 (1965), fue con el TC600 donde se popularizó definitivamente como uno de los recorridos base más característicos de Scalextric, siendo utilizado posteriormente en numerosos circuitos.Los Seat 600 de 1966 (referencia CF-TC) estaban disponibles en blanco, rojo, azul claro y verde. El chasis era del mismo color de la carrocería y montaban un motor RX-1. Presentaban una atractiva banda checkered flag que recorría longitudinalmente el capó, techo y maletero y que reforzaba su apariencia de modelo de tardó en llegar la primera evolución. Un año más tarde, en 1967, Scalextric lanzó un nuevo 600-TC (referencia CF-TC), que se mantendría en producción hasta 1973, el mismo año que Seat dejaba de fabricar el coche original. Los recambios de ruedas y de carrocería se produjeron durante dos años más, hasta 1975.El sucesor del primer 600 mantenía las líneas y principales soluciones técnicas del original: mismo tipo de guía (fija con pivote), dimensiones, peso y transmisión, entre otros. Podía, en cambio, equipar el motor RX-1 o bien el nuevo RX-1 RT, y el chasis pasaba a ser negro. La decoración se mantuvo idéntica respecto al anterior modelo, mientras la gama de colores incorporaba un nuevo tono en gris.El nuevo 600 se estrenó como coche incluido en el circuito TC600-D, comercializado entre 1967 y 1970 como nueva opción básica de la marca a un precio de 1.770 pesetas. Se trataba principalmente de una actualización del anterior TC-600: manteniendo su forma de gafas de buceador, se le añadió una recta estándar y un puente cambio de rasante.Como curiosidad, y para ilustrar los caminos paralelos que en muchos momentos siguieron el modelo de Scalextric y el original, cabe señalar que fue precisamente en 1967 cuando Seat lanzó una nueva versión del 600, llamada precisamente 600-D.Y de la misma manera que el coche original, las versiones Scalextric del 600 fueron muchas, convirtiéndose en uno de los modelos imprescindibles para coleccionistas del mundo del través de su serie Vintage, diseñada para poner al alcance de todos los aficionados modelos míticos de la historia de la marca, Scalextric ponía a la venta en 1991 una esperadísima reedición del primer 600TC. Limitada a 10.000 unidades y con la referencia 8333, se mantenía fiel al original de 1966 en dimensiones, peso, distancia entre ejes, relación de transmisión, etc.El chasis, numerado, era negro. El modelo y se produjo únicamente en color rojo, manteniendo, por supuesto, y la característica banda blanquinegra a cuadros. En esta ocasión el 600 lucía el dorsal 36. El motor se renovó para ofrecer mejor rendimiento: el propulsor RX1 se sustituyó por el más moderno RX-4.El siguiente 600 llegó en 2002. Coincidiendo con el 40 aniversario de Scalextric, la marca se alió con la editorial Altaya para lanzar el libro 40 años de Scalextric en España, de Simó Escayola, un exhaustivo y didáctico repaso a circuitos, modelos y accesorios que habían protagonizado la revolución del slot en nuestro país.El libro se vendió conjuntamente con dos coches: un Seat 600 azul y un Fiat 600 Abarth rojo, dos caras de la misma moneda y que mostraban la evolución de los coches Scalextric a lo largo de las cuatro décadas. Mientras el primero, el 600, se ofrecía con la mecánica de la época de su lanzamiento, el Abarth contaba con soluciones de última generación, como guía con suspensión e imán regulable, entre otros.En 2010, el 600 se puso a la venta de nuevo (ref. 6457), enmarcado en la serie especial Vintage 10. Presentado de manera muy atractiva -logo del modelo original incluido-, el 600TC se ofrecía en amarillo, con el dorsal 10 y acompañado de la clásica caja Scalextric de cartón. Toda una oportunidad que muchos coleccionistas no dejaron escapar.En 2011 se lanzó una edición del 600 dedicada al piloto catalán Josep Maria “Mia” Bardolet, uno de los nombres de referencia del automovilismo español. Con la referencia 6511, se trataba de un modelo en amarillo con atractivos detalles en negro, como la banda lateral, el techo en damero o el capó, entre del 600 ofrecido en el 40 aniversario de Scalextric, reseñado anteriormente, Scalextric ha lanzado otras versiones de sus primos hermanos de Fiat, con los que compartió un altísimo porcentaje de componentes durante su vida comercial. Especialmente significativas son las versiones del 1000 preparadas por Abarth, con sus espectaculares alerones, tomas de aire delanteras y decoraciones típicas de competición.En 2003 llegó el Abarth Gulf (ref. 6119), que lucía el atractivo aspecto ultravitaminado típico del preparador italiano. Equipado con motor RX-41 y luces, vestía la decoración naranja y azul cielo de la petrolera, unos colores que siempre han figurado entre los preferidos entre los aficionados al motor.En 2007 se puso a la venta un nuevo Abarth (ref. 6177) con decoración en azul, rojo y blanco que, igual que el anterior, disponía de un motor RX-41 y estaba equipado con luces, entre otras mejoras típicas de la época.Tres años más tarde, en 2010, Scalextric lanzó para los mercados español y mexicano otro Abarth 1000 (ref. 6385). Integrado en la colección Classics, este modelo de decoración roja y blanca también contaba con luces y es muy reconocible al presentar el techo ajedrezado. Este mismo coche también se pudo adquirir un año después en el resto de mercados bajo la marca SCX (ref. 63850).El más reciente hasta el momento es el Fiat Abarth 1000 RTH Berlina Corsa de 2014 (ref.
